The first day will be spent exploring the northern Greek gem of Thessaloniki. Beautiful metropolis that seems to have been elevated by the blending of traditions and elements from many different cultures.
The following day, we’ll take a bus or train to Litochoro. From the settlement, one can see the mountains and Zeus’ throne. There will be a short Olympus presentation at the national park exposition center. We’ll have dinner in a classic restaurant after a small hike on the end of the trail along the Enipeas river, where we may learn all about the myths and the stories of this hidden gem.
The hidden gems of Enipeus are on the agenda for today’s excursion. We are going to move by e-bike on the road until our starting point and our feet as we are hiking the path. Have a healthy breakfast, and we will see to the rest of the details.
Today is the turn to learn about the area’s history and how it relates to the surrounding natural landscape. For this reason, we’ll be visiting Dion, Aghia Kori waterfall, the abandoned monastery of Aghia Triada, and the abandoned village of the old Vrontou. With all those pieces of history, you will get a better understanding of the area’s history.
Today, we will travel to more remote areas, we will sample wine from Mount Olympus, will participate in the preparation of a traditional dinner, and we will enjoy the tranquility in a peaceful and quiet unique location at Aghios Dimitrios!
The program will take a field trip to a pottery today, and during our visit there we will get familiar with how the ancient Greeks worked on clay and will each make our own clay pot using those techniques. We will travel to Elatochori after our tour first to the royal tombs of Phillip II, the father of Alexander the Great, where we are going to have an inspirational guided tour there.
Today is a day dedicated to the collection of herbs, the preparation of tea, or the use of them in various ways. In the afternoon, we’ll travel to a nearby village where we’ll make our own dessert from locally grown seasonal fruits. Dinner and overnight at Elatochori
Today is our last day at legend mountain, and we intend to savor every second. To ensure that all of our senses and emotions are brought together, we will drink coffee and eat breakfast together and exchange our experiences. From Elatochori we will travel to Thessaloniki, if there is time for everyone, we will have a glass of wine with fish food on the side to spendElatochori the last hours together on a seaside taverna, before departure with Mt Olympus in the background.
