A once-in-a-lifetime chance to learn about Pieria and the traditions involved in the preparation of food, from the finding of the raw materials to the delivery of the finished dish at our table. Nature, man, and creativity become one.

How did the ancient Greeks obtain clay for their pottery? What kinds of herbs can be found in Pieria, and how are they typically used? What is the significance of wine on Olympus, and how do you make a traditional fruit dessert? Do you enjoy Greek food and want to learn the majority of its secrets? All you have to do is follow us to an extraordinary trip.

Itineraries

Day 1

Thessaloniki food tour

Open markets with spices, local and exotic products are found in Thessaloniki, a city that combines the flavors of the Mediterranean with the unique aromas of Asia. A stroll through the city will reveal many of the city's hidden gems and tell us more about Greece's past.

Day 2

Thessaloniki to Platamonas

We begin our day with bougatsa, northern Greece's most famous breakfast. After that, we'll take a trip to Platamonas, where we'll learn to create traditional dishes from the region.

Day 3

Old Panteleimonas cooking lesson

Today, we will be carried to Paleo Panteleimon on electric bicycles, and there, in a wonderful landscape that is directly connected to nature, we will learn the secrets of its traditional cooking.

Day 4

Pottery and flour

Today, we will make a visit to a traditional craftsman who creates ceramics. We will learn the secrets of clay of the ancient Greeks. The evening will find us on a farm where it produces its own two-grain wheat flour in the mill that he maintains. On the farm, we will be given the opportunity to prepare a traditional salad with groats, a truly exceptional taste!

Day 5

Hunting herbs and pie preparing

Today, for breakfast, we will make pies with local ingredients. After that, we will move to Elatochori, where Anastasia will teach us the secrets of herbs, including how to collect them and how to prepare herb tea. Finally, we will move to Ritini, where we will make the traditional dessert.

Day 6

Extraction of essential oli

We'll help out with agricultural labor in the morning, collect fresh eggs, and prepare our own breakfast on the estate. We'll visit a cherry-growing region in the late afternoon, and then head to a nearby winery to taste some of the region's best wine in a picturesque setting.

Day 7

Wine tasting and cherry farms

Today is a day dedicated to the collection of herbs, the preparation of tea, or the use of them in various ways. In the afternoon, we'll travel to a nearby village where we'll make our own dessert from locally grown seasonal fruits. Dinner and overnight at Elatochori

Day 8

Departure

Today is our last day to the legend mountain, and we intend to savor every second. To ensure that all of our senses and emotions are brought together, we will drink coffee and eat breakfast together and exchange our experiences. A gift basket of traditional and prepared goods will be given to everyone to take with you not only the experience but also the flavors.
