Pindos is the largest mountain range in Greece. It dominates almost all of western Greece and is essentially a continuation of the Illyrian and Dalmatian mountain ranges. All this endless complex of mountains, peaks, plateaus, valleys and gorges that crosses mainland Greece in a NW-NE direction. It has a length of 230 km and a maximum width of 70 km and supplies water to two thirds (2/3) of the Greek population.
